Guess what?? I am leaving on FRIDAY (that’s in ONE DAY) to go to Michigan, where I’m going to be a camp counselor for the summer. It’s kind of funny, I guess. I would never call myself the ‘camp’ kind of person…I hate bugs with a passion, the thought of the Zip Line makes me break out in hives, and I’m going to have to walk outside to get to the bathroom. I’m certainly not very athletic, and (don’t tell anyone, but…) I don’t really like trust falls. I know, right? The trust fall is your essential team-building activity, but I have seen them fail one too many times.
BUT…despite all of this, the Lord has clearly called me to SpringHill this summer. I know it’s where I need to be. A part of me, of course, still longs to spend the summer in Mexico, with my Mexican family and church. But God closed that door and opened this one. And yes, I am terrified of bugs and the zip line, but I am so EXCITED for the chance to serve and serve with the High Schoolers that will be on my team(s).
I would love love love LOVE it if you would send me MAIL. There is nothing, and I mean NOTHING more encouraging than receiving mail from my friends. I mean, yeah, emails are great, and Facebook is okay, but there’s something so special about snail mail. Here’s my address:

I will be (periodically) checking my email and facebook, so if you want to stay in touch that way, that’s great. 🙂
